i scanned a few documents for a job app, that i have to email as pdf files.....cept they're 24mb

there has to be a way to reduce the file size.......anybody?

Make a copy, only set the copy machine to "reduce size", then re-scan.

Seriously...I am joking...but I have no idea how to reduce the file size.

There are various sizes and compressions of PDFs. Your scanner prolly coded them full-size. See if the scanner software has some kind of preference or option setting that changes it.

did you scan them as pdf? or convert them later?

there is probably an option in the scanning software... but 24 MB isn't always that much of a problem for email, just depends on the mail server

you probably scanned your documents in high resolution. Lower the settings and try again.

24 MB?

Dang . . . that's purty big.

Scan it at about 150 dpi and in black and white and that should shrink it some.

Lower resolution, and if the document is primarily text, use OCR to read them in.
