Greensburg, Kansas, USA

The Big Well was a favorite of mine. My aunt and uncle lived in Greensburg, and it wasn't a complete visit until I had a trip to the well. Somehow, it probably wouldn't seem as inspiring to me now.

Just stop it. I love that place, and it most assuredly does not smell like a French whore. More like mildewy things that were buried under a cornfield for a 100 years, NOT a French whore -- unless she's very old.

This is the pinnacle of Nebraskan's doing something dumb. The organizers got the money to build the thing, but not the money to get an interstate exit for it. Ergo it's hard to get to, and thus nobody goes.

The Steamboat Arabia gift shop is situated, unfortunately, next to a cheap-*** phony perfume store. They also have on display in the museum, examples and replicas of the perfumes found as cargo on the Steamboat Arabia. [/info]
