Tough bracket for us, but it's manageable. Duke could definitely go down early. Although it's hard to see them losing with them playing basically at home all the way through.

I think our 2nd round matchup would be tough. NC State is a good 10 and Cal is an average 7.

Thats right all the way! GW's RPI was like 224 out of 234 schools (i believe). They pulled a Kansas St. and padded their schedule cupcakes all the way until conf. play started. They got exactly what they deserved.

However, i do agree w/ Birddog that OU is one and done. Its the whole #11 curse thing. That and the fact that we are simply NO GOOD!!

I actually think KU got a little screwed. I think they're potential 2nd round matchup with Pitt is pretty tough. I think Pitt matches up well with them (not if they shoot lights out again like they did today of course ;) ).

I agree with the earlier post that it'll be easier to play against Florida than it will against UW-Milwaukee. Florida has a history of gagging big-time early in the tournament, even in their home state. Michigan State jackslapped them all over the court in Tampa three years ago.

I wonder how much magic Syracuse is going to have left against my Aggies. This could be a short appearance for us. But, seriously, after almost 20 years of not making it to the tournament, I'm just savoring the moment right now.

It's kinda like the Astros, I'm still smiling getting to the World Series even though it ended poorly.

I think ORU will give Memphis all they want.

Although I believe that Memphis will win this game because ORU has been fairly consistent against teams better than they are, Memphis is about to see a whole new level of basketball different from what their used to. Perhaps not with ORU, although that will be a bit of a fight for them, but very shortly after.

I'm fairly confident we can beat Wis-Mil. We might allow the game to be ridiculously close, but we will win it. Florida has definitely had some 'iffy' brain-wave moments this year. They won't have problems with S. Alabama. But I'm sure we'll give them some problems. Depends on which Florida team shows up really. I wish it depended more on us and how we play, but I just don't think it does this year.

Don't let that last sentence dissuade anybody from thinking I'm not a Sunshine Pumper, if perhaps a realistic version of one.

If there is any surprise for me, it's that Villanova is getting that play-in game. I always sort of figured the play-in game was reserved exclusively for Duke.

IMO despite the one point wins, OU's season ended when they blew the 17 point lead in Lawrence. If we win that game I think that things would have been much different for this team as far as confidence and style of play.

I was talking Big XII tourney, but you never know what can happen. Your team still has a lot of talent.
