unfortunately you'll have to cave in and use a gg, ggaaa, gas grill.

I'm seriously considering getting a gas grill. I have one of these:

and haven't been able to use it in months.

My stuff turns out great when I use my gas grill. If you use the right rub and/or marinate its still good.

Gas grilling during a burn ban is 500% better than no grilling in a burn ban

I just cooked 11 Ribeyes yesterday

Gas doesn't cut it when making real BBQ.
It's fine for steaks, chicken and stuff like that, but not ribs.

Don't know if you're in Oklahoma or not, but you still may be able to BBQ.
From the state website:

Totally enclosed smokers are exempt from the ban. These include smokers where ashes and embers are not exposed to blowing winds when the smoker is open. Partially enclosed smokers, where the ashes and embers may be exposed to blowing winds when the unit is open, are included in the ban. Once again, any fire resulting from the use of either type of smoker is still an illegal fire.

Call me a scofflaw but I finally said to hell with it. My Big Green Egg's exterior doesn't even get hot to the touch. If one of my neighbors narcs me out, so be it.

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

I hope to cook some bbq ribs and chicken tomorrow. Of course, it'll
be on gas. We're under a burn ban as well, but I've cooked with
propane for years.
