when one of our Assistant superintendents was talking about the 6 months he worked in Tikrit. He said that he made just under $200k in 6 months but he still has shrapnel in his legs from the constant mortar and rocket fires. This guy was nowhere near an Army base like DC is living on and had little to no protection.

God Speed DC, fair winds and following seas.

Freakin' word.

We should start a thread for him while he's gone.

He'll be fine. He's a cagey old salt.

We could call it 'Bewbs for DC'.

That way, we know he'd see it because it would be the first thread he'd open when he got back.

He could make it a sticky after he's there for a while.......(should I rephrase that?)

Post in it everyday....so he knows we haven't forgot.

Feel free to insult him, too. He'd expect it.

You know if I were gone (and not for a work reason like the one that made me stop playing with you guys for a few months) and I came back and saw that you guys had thought of me everyday I might just get mushy.

We have to do this. I'm sure he'd much rather be playing with us than doing what he's doing...

We have to do this. I'm sure he'd much rather be playing with Howzit's stuff than doing what he's doing...

Jeez. I'm not dead people. Just finished my first week of training. Pretty crazy hours already. We had Tommy Hamill (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/panorama/4628329.stm)talk to us, the guy that you saw on the news. He was taken by insurgents and a news crew interviewed him in the back of the car right before they hauled him off. Crazy. Today we had Nuclear, Biological and Chemical training. Got my mask and chemical suit. Plane leaves next week. We fly in low and take out their towers. What time? I can't tell you, thats classified.
