I remember being single and not dating and wondering if I'd ever hook up with a good person, too. It's not easy. At 31, I was doing the same thing.

Night classes? I dunno, just a suggestion. It worked for me once, and I wasn't really on the Open Market.

Just don't go to grad school. Only people who get married out of undergrad or are coming back after a long hiatus attend.

If you'll slow down I'll catch up with ya SBSB...not far behind and not gettin' hitched anytime soon...

Thanks 24! I am going to Cozumel a week from Thursday for a wedding. This officially makes me the LAST of my long time friends who are single.

Maybe my travel companion will get me drunk and take advantage of me. Aww who am I kidding? Who needs to be drunk for that?

I will be the 40 year old single guy that all the friends feel sorry for.

I have found it's best to alternate being married and single every few years, because you don't get bogged down forever in either one and they both have good and bad points.

See the original point wasn't complaining about being single. Rather, it was complaining that since my other friends had significant others and kids, my life was much different than theirs.

I would much rather be single than be in an unhappy sh1tty relationship.

Finding things to do that you enjoy and that gets you out is hard. I like to go to the gym. Lots of people, and the exercise is good for me.

But others' suggestions of signing up for classes and crap (not like grad school...again, but stupid basketweaving or fingerpainting classes) is perfect. You might be surprised at how many other no-life-having folks like us there are out there! :D
