Ok, how does the Big XII divy up bowl payouts and how much of the $2,130,955, OU brought in from the Holiday Bowl, the Pokes will be taking.

I'd be interested to see how much OU football has funded them throughout the years. Next to Boone, the OU football team may be one their biggest contributors.

Financial filings with the NCAA show nearly half the schools that participated in bowls last season lost money just by showing up to play. Eighteen of 38 schools that provided copies of those reports to USA TODAY showed losses, their balance sheets sagging beneath the costs of travel, lodging, meals and tickets. Twelve schools had deficits of more than $100,000. For three, the shortfall exceeded $300,000.

I think it would be funny if OU blew all the bowl money, so OSU, Baylor, KSU, etc wouldn't get a handout. :D

I think they split the money 13 ways and the school gets 2/13th of the money from their bowl game and 1/13th of the other schools' payouts.

Isn't that after deducting their expenses from the payout, though?

someday, baylor will join the rest of us in demeaning the freeloading osu aggies. they are, after all, the worst football team in the conference.
