Actually it was one of the benefits of living in Florida, Nevada and Oklahoma. Learning how to deal with shark attack, being stranded in the desert and of course tornados.......:)

I don't care what they say, I bet I could outrun a tornado in a car. Even though I know the right answer, if it were happening to me, I have a feeling I would come closer to hauling *** away from it than I would pulling over and crawling comfortably into a shallow ditch.

An person lures you to a dungeon with the prospect of some liquor. He brains you and you eventually wake up chained to a wall while he is bricking up the entrance.
You should:
1- Reason with him.
2- Wail like a 3 year old.
3- Go mad.

You can drive faster, the problem is that roads may not be the most direct way to escape it. It could cut you off and change direction quickly.
They're shifty that way.

Oh, and 11/17 the first time. Re-trying it is kind of silly since they tell you the correct answers.
And yes, the animal questions got me. And their crime/terrorism answers are geared toward the average person. Not the load of Chuck Norrises we have on here. ;)

ok, so i didn't know to stare down the shark, but I know to gouge his eyes. And I didn't know not to ration water, but I knew to sit in the shade.
stare down the shark? yeah, I'm sure this is great advice. :rolleyes: How do they know? I'm sure it worked 100% of the time for the people who didn't die trying it.

I still think you should try to locate the inflatable rafts during a ditching, especially if you're in cold water.
I got this one right, but if you're in a car and a tornado is coming try to outrun the tornado. The best thing to do is head south to get out of it's path since most tornadoes travel northeast. I'm sure you've seen the video of the guys in Kansas who got caught by the tornado and took refuge under an overpass. First of all, don't ever do that. And second of all, they were a freeway--what kind of idiots can't outrun a tornado on a freeway?

in the particular instance you're talking about, they WERE outrunning it, but it changed directions unexpectedly. And about 30 seconds after the first tornado passed them, another one came. there wasn't just one tornado that night.

up here, we've seen tornadoes travelling in directions other than northeast. I can't remember specifically which directions, but I remember remarking that it seemed odd that they were not travelling northeast, as that was my experience in OK.

I had good areas and bad areas in all categories. I actually lied about what I'd do regarding a tornado. I'd grab the camera, jump in the car, and drive circles around that thang!
But then again, I'm crazy.
