Didn't know Bassey was so fast...

Russell Dennison's got a heck of a vertical jump. Only Bassey did better, and Dennison's 40 lbs. heavier. Dennison had the best broad jump, too.

Only problem is he's not "on the field" fast as i'm the scout will realize.

Also, its crazy how JD is faster that Kejuan. How many lbs. does JD have on Kejuan? Hmm... interesting

kejuan is faster in pads.. just ask k-state

i guess i'm the only one that appreciates what kejuan did for this program.

Bassey had really good numbers. Good for him. Like you said his on the field play we'll be seen by scouts, but at least he gave himself a chance to get a look.

your appreciation stems more from the menage a trois that got him suspended than his accomplishments on the football field ;)

i'm thinking CO just cost himself any chance of getting drafted. had he ripped off a 4.4 or so, he might have gotten a 5th round flyer. not now.

I will always appreciate Kejuan. Great player, and great attitude. He looks good with a shaved head...

Russell Denison is an amazing athlete. I will always wonder how he didnt get on the field more, outside of special teams...

I would love to see JD get a shot in the league. He is too good not to.

The Maggie Simpson of RBs.

any time you have an upperclassman step aside to allow the younger phenom to shine in the interest of the team, you have to respect that player. beky preston did the same this year with paris.

How the hell did he not get invited to the combine? Before the season was over everyone was all '...he'll be one of the first fullbacks taken in the draft...'.

What happened to that?

kejuan gave his heart to OU. no matter how great AD is, you know it was very hard for KJ to step aside, but that just shows how great of a person and player he is.

yep, i hope he gets some NFL action

i always heard that Dennison's problem was that he only had one speed, fast

is that normal for a FB to out rep OL?

JD aint normal!

that just makes me worry about losing him... if he's as strong as a lineman, fast as a RB and can catch like he did. he just kinda filled in where we needed him, and well

oumartin
3/9/2006, 03:23 PM
yep, I hear ya but I think KW will find an offensive scheme that will work just fine for the freaks we do have. AD RB and the WR's.

hopefully there will be less holes to fill ;)

My post was in no way a knock on K.J. but more of a... look how good JD is. I mean does anyone else think as I do that he is the next Lorenzo Neal?!?! If he puts on 10lbs. of good weight he could be REALLY special in the NFL. Plus, he can catch the ball out of the backfield which makes him that much more special!!!

I think he is the next Keith Byers... Yeah he is good- we didn't give it too him enough.

I think what hurts Runnels more than anything is that no scout has ever seen him carry a football. I watched him for 4 years and I barely saw him touch the ball.

That cause I don't think he ever had a rushing attempt. (I think)

i think he might have had like 2, one of whichi was on something like a fake punt or something. I dont know, but it wasnt often. He did turn into a hell of a receiver last year. He made some great catches and then the runs after catches were always really nice.

i dont know
a 4.46 and 4.48 at his size is pretty darn good
the largest percentage of corners that run fast are like 5-8
