Pieces Hit

I've lived here my whole life and often take our humble State for granted.
There's a lot I could gripe about but also a lot of great things that keep me here...
1. The People are Mostly Good People
Dad says Okies are hearty down-to-earth folks because our parents and grandparents had to work so hard just to survive;
The dust bowl for example.
Dad tells me about how Gramps went to California to work in the orchards during the depression.
I think that's also a reason for why we are the buckle in the "Bible belt".
There for a while, faith was all our people had.
Most Okies are friendly even to strangers and not rude, soul-less jerks like a lot of places I've been.
