pffffft. Like you're gonna be there.

I'll be eating at either The Olive Grove, G&M Crabcakes, or The James Joyce Irish Pub while there. Your choice.

Ruth's Chris is a chain too, but I swear that one is the best one I've been to.

Yeah, that RC is pretty nice. I rung up a $3,000 bill there one night. Good thing we were expensing everything to the client.

There is a place that serves crab that is well known. It is called Obryckies - I know that spelling is wrong but that is about as close as I can get. Just ask for O-breck-ies. They will know. It is in a rough part of town. Good times. Be sure to wear jeans and a tea shirt. Now if you don't go there, go to Little Italy and just pick a random place. I guarantee that it will be terrific food. Skip all of the places listed in the poll. The ESPN zone is fun and a good place to drink beer, but the food is not that good.

I have to admit, I never went there. But for one dinner in Baltimore, Obrycki's or a place in Little Italy would be my choice.

Della Notte is good, La Scalla is good. Also Da Mimmo.

I already listed the joints I'm going to. I don't eat at those $49 for your meat, $8 for your potato, $6 for your asparagus, and $350 for your wine joints unless somebody else is paying.

The James Joyce, right next to the Marriott downtown is where you'll find me. Sauteed mussells during happy hour are $4.50. Best mussells I've ever eaten. Evar. Cheap Irish whisky and Bass or B&Ts. Can't beat it.

Is that place west of the Marriott over towards the stadium?

Nope. You can hit it with a rock from the front door of the Marriott. It's either just east, or northeast. I park across the road in Little Italy.

The new tall Marriott you mean, not the Marriott Inner Harbor across from Camden Yards, right?

Correct. Go past the ESPN Zone, Hard Rock, etc. and make a right. It's at the end of the street.

Just because Dean buys you dinner doesn't mean you have to put out. Except for Ruth's Chris--that's worth at least a hummer.

We are going to be about 3 blocks from the white house, Thomas circle I think it's called. No car...public transportation baby.

I'm freeballing Saturday whiel the wife is in conference...going to go to Arlington and stuff she thinks is just depressing...need to pay my respects.

Actually, your list of sh!t to do was a big help, we are using most of it for the rest of the trip.

thanks again.

No prob. I found another little joint in Alexandria/Old Town last week called The Union Street Public House. You take King St. almost to the water, and then turn right on Union. It's a block or two up. The bartender (Coach) used to play football for Maryland and the Redskins. He coached high school ball until he retired. He's the biggest, loudest, most obnoxious left-winger you'd ever want to meet. I kicked his *** on every single point he brought up. By the time we were done, he realized he was a Republican (except fiscally/financially). Good food, good drinks.
