She was curling her hair yesterday and she burned her forehead in the exact shape of a neg spek dot.
She won't let me take her pic, so this will have to do...

there's a girl at work that apparently has trouble with her curling iron......she's got no less than 3 burn marks on her forehead and neck areas.....
Does she look like one of those gals from India or some place who moved to the U.S., and had the emerald removed from her head, but still wears the towel?
She won't let me take her pic, so this will have to do...

Czar, I dont' think OSHA can do anything about operator error except require more documented training from an approved instructor.

Negatory (pardon the pun). When people are electrocuted, their heart stops almost instantly and they don't feel any pain. For this infraction, I am more inclined to channel the spirits of my Viking ancestors and come up with some real creative methods of bringing the hurt on.
It may still involve the curling iron, and it may in fact be plugged in. Highest heat setting. Did I mention the 2" diameter round barrel? :meat:

This kind of curling iron was the thing back before 'lectricity. You just put the metal end on the wood cookstove, heated it up and let-r-rip. No pesky wires and such to get all tangled-up neither.
Also useful if you forget to pay the light bill.

Isn't it amazing how we will laugh about women being so careless with their own body, and yet we are so damn happy to let them provide us with, err, umm, "happiness" where a quick bite down could render us helpless. I know that I made fun of my wife one time for doing something dumb and she told me that she could be careless in a way that would be much more painful for me. I quickly stopped making fun of her and ran for the some ice and some cooling aloe vera to help soothe her pain.

Flat irons are evil. They get 400+ degrees - a curling iron doesn't.
You *barely* touch your skin with a flat iron for even a split second and you can consider yourself negged.
And VK is the only one in this world that can make a forehead burn...cute. :D

I've burned my forehead a few times with a curling iron. But not as often as I thought, I guess. The spot I kept thinking I'd burned over and over again turned out to be skin cancer.
I was 41 at the time.
