The former Navy ace got 96 months which is the longest sentence for a disgraced congressman evar.

At his trial, the prosecution even introduced as evidence a memo in Cunningham's handwriting written on congressional letterhead which listed how much he charged as a bribe for various official acts up to and including voting a certain way.:eek:

Unfortunately, he'll prolly do his time at some min security federal prison "campus" where the guards wear golf shirts and khaki's and the cons wear UPS uniforms.

Yes it is.

Unfortunately, there are more just like him that haven't been caught.

It seems you have to be so very flagrant, like Cunningham had become,
to even have anyone from Justice look into it.

The system is extremely broken and in dire need of an overhaul.
