i'm playing in the ford invitational this week - USA network (3pm);)

seriously, i'm the assistant golf pro at a place called french creek (PA). cobra has a nice assistant's deal for equipment - in hopes that your members will see what you play... and then buy their stuff. my boss is a taylor made guy, so it doesn't make sense to sign with them (even though i like their stuff). nice to see how effectively i'm putting my masters degree to work... GOLF.

I don't care if you're freekin Albert Einstein. If you make a living playing a lot of golf, that's gold in my book.

Good luck with the Cobras. Everybody I talk to that tries the recent line of Cobra drivers loves them. Does Greg Norman still basically own that company?

not sure, but i bet he plays a big role in equipment development. his clothing line is decent. don't like the shirts so much, but the sweaters are really nice.

cobra is part of acushnet - titleist, cobra, footjoy. hopefully cobra will take off a bit - they're very optimistic. with j.b. holmes knocking balls into next year (and winning), oberholser winning the match play, and camilo villegas playing well, cobra is looking good right now.

Don't forget, I have a Cobra driver and 5-wood.

"on the cheap" - is that hillbilly speak for "at wholesale"?;)

True story.

Back in the day, when Greg Norman was using the Cobra stuff, I wanted the original Cobra Driver, 3-wood and 5-wood - I guess cause they looked cool. Golfsmith had the set on clearance, so I bought them for $300. I received them and promptly took them to the range and couldn't hit them a lick - worse than my crappy starter set - tried several times but no go. So I take them to the pro-shop at Lake Hefner and they offer me $400 for them. I'm like "yeah, that sounds fair".

Nice sticks, forged CB's. Good choice Fad. VERY similar to my RAC LT's.
