"This program is on track to beat OU's 47-game streak. I think they will get into the 50s, and if the 2007 class can get in and play early, this program might pull an authentic 3-peat and run close to four straight undefeated seasons. I don't see anyone stopping this program for several years. "

well, we have a say in whether they reach the streak. they reach it, it will be our fault. of course, for them to reach it, bomar will have to go 0-4 against texas. the %'s on that feat are a little higher than i'd like them to be...

No, it was Vince Young. How soon we forget 2003 and 2004.

It really wasn't meant to be a slam on anyone. I appologize if anyone took it like that. However, I don't think the 47 game win streak is ever going to be broke. First off, there is too much turnover and parody. Look back from now to 1998 when the first BCS trophy was handed out. No school has two trophies. Period. In order to break the streak, you would have to win three in a row and part of another season. There are no confereces even with three trophies period. The most are the SEC (LSU and Tennessee) and the Big XII (OU and Texas) with two. However, I think the Big XII may have the lead in appearances. Three by OU, one by Texas and one by Nebraska. I just see 47 as a magical number that will never be attained.

Another fine example of why passing a breathalyzer should be a requirement for whornfan before being allowed access to the local trailerpark computer.

They are the best team money can BYU. 2005 was a fluke year akin to 1984, a weak overall year in football that allowed a pig to fly.

That still doesn't take away the fact that the last QB from Texas to beat the Whorns in the Cotton Bowl was Vince Young.

I think the last QB from Texas that we beat saxet with was Thomas Lott. I may be wrong, though. We haven't really started that many QBs from Texas since Jack Mildren.
