I am going to help my uncle comb through prospects for a new herd bull. Should be a good time, and it will be nice to get out of Lincoln for a couple of days. There are few things that I find more fun that a quality cattle auction.

The bulls at this sale are guaranteed breeders. A gay bull would get your money back.

Some of the funnest times I've had with my dad have been at the sale barn.

Not to mention some of the best food . . . :D

Be sure and take a leak on the tape/wire around the show steer pens, it feels good.

I get stoked for Saturday mornings at the sale barn too.

I saw a bull break his leg trying to jump a gate . . . he got it hung up when he was running from another bull after he got whipped.

There's a nice sale today at Express Ranches in Yukon if you need a Limousin bull.

Um. I've been around ag my entire life, those suggestions only work on city folk.

The bad news is that you have to return eventually. But, enjoy it while it lasts.

Anybody else find it immensely funny that a cattle sale trumps Lincoln?

Roy: Hey, I hope you don't mind, I got up a little early, so I took the liberty of milking your cow for you. Yeah, it took a little while to get her warmed up, she sure is a stubborn one, whew.
[Takes a drink from the bucket]

Mr. Boorg: We don't have a cow. We have a bull.

Well, we got a new bull purchased for $3700. It should be a nice addition to our genetic base, as well as be ready to go to work on virgin heifers in a month or so. I had also forgot how much fun auctions are.
