To the folks in Norman, I only get back home once or twice a year now, but how do you think a 24 hour health club would do in Norman? I am looking into such a franchise and I am a member here in LA at one, and it is booming here.

thanks for any input

I dont think I could work out for 24 hours. Im probably too old.
How long do you have off before you have to do it again?

might want to look into the Mustang/Yukon area. these towns are growing together. more houseing additions going in at every mile section...they say this will be the next edmond area in the state

It would have to be very close to the campus/dorms since there the ones up late. Most gyms I have seen look like ghost towns after 6:00 p.m.

I was a member of a 24 hour fitness club. I went to it the other day and the guy was locking up for the night. I said, "but you're sign says open 24 hours." He said, "Not in a row."

It would go. There are a lot of people who have a need to exercise at wierd times when it fits thier schedule. Folks who work odd hours\night shifts or whatever. I travel a lot with my job, and am always having to find a gym that is open very early or late.

I was in Monroe a couple of weeks ago on bidness.

I'm pretty sure the fitness club at Robinson Crossing is 24/7. Not sure tho. It's usually pretty busy.

I wouldn't be all that gung-ho to put it near campus, as students (and I think employees) can use the Huffman center for free.

^^^ I think it is open 24 hours a day.

Most gyms open really early (4-5 ish) and stay open relatively late (10-11ish). So, I don't see many people going to the gym in between those times.

good info, I talked with the franchise today, got laid off from my job yesterday, so now is as good as time as any to do this. there are not a lot of people working out in the middle of the night, but there are a few. One of the perks at this gym is when you are a member you get free tanning, and you can use any of these gyms anywhere in the US on your 1 membership. Thanks for the feed back.
