I saw it too. I think i could have saved it. of course i would have had my seat belts on. thats where they made their mistake. their heads hit the roof.

The police were like a half mile behind them and the bad guys just kept going faster and faster.

I totally agree. I mean, I don't even know why we have police. If the police wouldn't have been harassing those two guys they wouldn't have had to hurt that poor tree.
