View Full Version : Anyone watching this Grizzly Bear thing on Disco Channel?

I have been listening to it while spending time on the computer, so I am catching bits and peices.

Evidently, a hippie couple moved to Alaska to "live free" with the bears. I guess they wanted to be like bears or, I don't know, start their own cub family. Anyway, the end up getting mauled to death.

Reminds me of an early 1980's movie about a dude who tries to live with a pack of wolves.

yeah jerk, there was a popular thread on this a couple weeks back. That dude was a weirdo to say the least.
I kept hoping they would show the video footage of the bears making a snack outta him.
i think he was a bit homo too. NTTAWWT

Not only was there a thread about the movie, I posted the article about the guy when his death was originally reported.

Here's the deal: Bears are not cuddly. Bears are not your friend. If you **** around with a bear too much, it will kill you, eat you, and then eat your girlfriend.

They are faster than you, they are stronger than you, and they can either climb trees better than you or knock them down.

Don't **** with bears. Period. Unless you are carrying HEAVY weaponry.

Also, how about the fact his Casio was still working after the coroner removed it from what was left of his wrist after being in the Kodiak grizzly's GI tract? :eek:

Now that is an ad for a rugged timepiece that makes those John Cameron Swayze Timex ads of the 60's and 70's seem like kindergarten.

Yeah, I watched it last night. We weren't drillin' so I actually paid attention. That dude just stopped short of putting honey on his head on trying to be eaten.

The best line in the thing was when the EMT copter pilot said he got what he asked for.

I just saw the last hour of this production.(Missed the first 2 hrs.) Those people might not have had a death wish, but Tim was desperate for fame, at least. Frozen's comments, above, are right on about griz.
