Anyone heard of the Brat Diet?

my three year old had diarhea really bad and I was gettin' a little worried. Was looking for some medicine for him and was told about the Brat diet.
first you eat a banana, then rice, then applesauce then toast and wham. Stops you right up..
He's had all that now just gotta wait and see.

Actually, the way I was taught about it (it is an old diet BTW and it works) was that these were the acceptable foods - no special order. Small amounts at first, then increase as tolerated.
