Loved McGavin's "Night Stalker" series.....and they broke the mold when Knotts was created

What was that old 60s movie where Knotts played this innocuous expert in bird whistles and calls? He somehow got framed and caught up in some scandal, and all the nice old ladies in his bird-calling group ostracized him, one spat in his face. It was funny, classic Don Knotts. RIP

This is the first actor/actress i'm sad to hear died as many a week night we're spent with the family watching reruns of the Andy Griffith Show. My dad had a nack for finding 2-3 straight hours of the B & W classic

Barney Fife is one of my all-time favorite characters on one of my all-time favorite TV shows. So sad when you start seeing people pass away that you've been watching for so long.
