When we formed the Big 12. Because the Big 8 had a rule that the home team had to be on the same sidelines as the band. The Big 12 doesn't have that rule.

Thanks brother flyer! Why did we want to switch after it being our tradition to be by the band? Was it to loud next to the band? Is there more shade on the new sidelines?

There's more shade on the new sideline for traditional games, although for our new tradition of 11 am games, it might be better to be on the other sideline.
