Offensive Coordinator at a BCS school not so bad for a guy who played QB here just about a decade ago.

No, but I remember the hype he brought with him to Norman. It peaked about 30 minutes into his career as PJ Mills was running into the Carrier Dome End Zone. At that point I thought he was the next coming.

It turns out I was right, it was just that he was just the next coming of Gary Hogeboom.

Mcgee and Eric Moore could've been some Sooner wishbone greats if it wasn't for the crap '90s coaching.

Ole Howard definatly ruined his fare share of greatness

I too thought he was the 2nd coming. Spinal meningitis certainly doused those dreams. For some reason I've always liked that guy.

He was never the same after the meningitis and Schnelly felt he wasn't trying hard enough to get well. I wonder if Garrick felt Howard was trying hard enough to get sober.

i don't think garrick could have ever been a wishbone great....

i do think he would've been at least a solid QB if he hadn't been flat on his back for 2 years.

He was a couple of years ahead of me in H.S. and his dad was my driver's ed coach. They were both nice guys.

I never did understand that

We played an amazing 1st half of football in the first game. After that, 94 was teh succ.

PJ got that ball knocked out and we weren't worth a damn the rest of the year. Ahh...the 90s.

Good luck to Garrick. Hope he lost that downtrodden, head-shaking approach.
