"best tackle we had"???

Nothing against Davin, but statistically, Messner was the best offensive lineman we had. He was the most consistent along with making ESPN's "2005 All-Bowl Team."

" Reggie Bush will make his appearance this afternoon. I had an opportunity to visit with him and when you see him and his upper body, he looks like a guy who has been lifting weights."

I was watching the combine yesterday afternoon and they were doing the 225lbs. bench press test. Chris Chester came up and I was kinda surprised to see him. I had forgotten all about him. He just seems like one of those guys you forget in the mix of everything. But even more to my surprise was the fact that he did 225lbs. for 27 reps!! Not bad for a guy who was a TE not to long ago. That was one of the better rep numbers of the day. Just goes to show what a good job the S&C coaching staff at OU does in getting these guys ready for the next level. Chris did nothing but help his cause yesterday.

Then why do they keep blowing out knees? Just flukey stuff?

I've thought about that blown knee thing too. THe Schmidt article made me think. It said something about using teaching their body to move faster than it knows how. Without slowly progressing it seems like ligaments would be behind in development and prone to injury. Are the guys getting too strong and fast too quick?
