NORMAN — Courtney Paris and the Oklahoma women's basketball team are the cover story in the Thursday, Feb. 23, sports section of USA Today.

The article titled 'New Star in the Middle' centers on the successes of Paris and the No. 9 Sooners, who have already claimed the Big 12 Regular Season Championship. Johnnie Whitehead wrote the piece.

It marks the second national publication that the Sooner center has been featured in this month. Paris and her twin sister, Ashley, were also the focal point of the a Sports Illustrated article by Kelli Anderson in the Feb. 6 issue.

Let's just hope the success doesn't get to the girls' heads. I have faith that Sherri wouldn't allow any of that.

If it was going to go to their head, it would have happened before they came to OU. They're nothing but class.

The sisters' decision to play for what was a mediocre team in rural Oklahoma

?

Are they talking about the same basketball program that Sherri Coale is coaching at? They're still playing in Norman aren't they?

Rural Oklahoma?

WTF? God knows what they would describe OSU, KSU, Tech, or A&M as...

I just read the article and the last part of the article ****ed me off. Kind of a back handed slap at OU. Aren't our player/practice facilities considered some of the best in the country?
