Crucial.com is the cheapest I can find. $125.65 for 1 GB, which is pretty good but if anyone knows of some deals, I'm willing to listen.;)

Oh, and how do I tell if I have 4 or 8 DIMM sockets? Are those what the "female" part where you plug in the memory cards are called?

Cheapest and best way to upgrade your Mac's memory?

Throw it out and buy a PC. ;)

Sorry, but you knew that was coming.

old Macs sucked... the new ones are much better (it's mostly the operating system)

i like crucial, it's hard to beat the free 2nd day shipping

Not that you could get a Mac user to admit it.

I'm not convinced about the "were" part, but I do see fewer and fewer Apple T-shirts even though Apple is selling more Macs now. That's a positive sign.

I've sporadically used OS X for as long as 15-20 minutes at a time with no system crashes, so it's by far the best MacOS ever IMO. Safari didn't want to work with email.ou.edu, however.

Zealots on either side scare me.

I was in the Apple store once, can't remember why...and there was a girl in line behind me for some iPod accessory or something, and her mother was with her. The mother was tapping her foot and rolling her eyes and sighing and muttering about how Macs were "toy computers" and blah, blah, blah...

...man, I wanted to punch the mom in the face.

A computer is a freakin computer. They count. Really fast.

Some just look better than others when they do it. :)
