I still maintain its more about fair dealing with an ally in the GWOT and not simply denying them the opportunity because they're Muslim/Arab/brown.

That's worth ramming this thru ASAP. The alternative is to say, "Yeah, we know you guys are good at this port stuff, and have been good in helping us in the war, but, you guys can't get this port operations contract because you are Muslims."

I dont feel good about turning our ports over to a state-ran company from the United Arab Emirates...but we did check less than 3% of cargo brought into the our ports after 9/11...so it doesn't seem that the ports were a security haven anyway.

But if this deal took place under a Democratic Prez, we'd be hearing screams that he be tried as an enemy combatant under the Patriot Act. There would be none of this "free trade first...no matter what the skin color is" talk.
