The kid is amazing.5-8 tonight I think( down a little bit).TT did agood job on him in the first half but he finally got loose.Good job of using screens and picks to get his quick -draw jumper off.He not only was quick(and accurate) on the shot but on at least two occasions got a shot by simply outsprinting his defender to an open spot.

Neal's continued emergence makes us SOOOO much better on offense.Teams are trying so hard to shut him down, chasing him around leaves clear passing lanes for other players to catch and score. For the most part it also allows Gray and Everett to relax a little and not have to force plays.

That was not the case early for Terrell as he turned the ball over and looked out of sync early.Thankfully he settled down and had another great night dishing out assists( open passing lanes ).

Taj never did seem to relax although he had a decent game ,he commited too many fouls including yet another blatant foul late in the game.He almost cost us our miracle win (ISU) with the intentional foul and followed that with another bonehead violation in this game at crunch time.In the last two games he appears ( to me at least ) to be pressing a little. Griffin appeared to be suffering a similar problem early in the game and was yanked out never to return.Carter and Godbold were solid on D and Crter had a couple of good moments on offense. It was nice the last couple of games to see Book getting some boards after having almost no impact on the backboards against the Buffs, hope his hand is at least ready for that unamed team fron Austin.Two- handed he would be a major impact against the burnt-orange big uglies.

Let's win these two home games and head south for the showdown and see what happens.Boomer Sooner baby.

I have not seen any one that's hot from behind the arc consistently like Neal. Not event Morrison or Redick.

OU basketball SID Mike Houck put together this interesting info about Mr. Neal....

Oklahoma's Michael Neal, nicknamed "Real Deal," missed OU's first two
Big 12 games with a strained groin (the Sooners lost both contests by a
combined three points). The 6-3, 191-pound junior has returned to play
in each of the last 11 games, nine of them wins. In his 11 league
outings, Neal is averaging a team-high 16.1 points and is shooting .533
from beyond the 3-point arc (48-for-90). He is averaging 17.4 points
and 4.7 treys over the last 10 contests.

* Neal has made 26 treys over the last four games, representing the most
by a Sooner over a four-game span in school history. Calvin Curry
canned 21 treys over four straight games in 1993-94.

* Neal is averaging 24.3 points and 6.7 3-pointers over the last three
contests (all starts). He had 26 points and seven treys at Colorado
Feb. 15, a career-high 29 points and eight triples Saturday against Iowa
State and 18 points and five more 3s Monday at Texas Tech.

* Neal owns a Big 12-best .523 field goal percentage in conference play.
No guard has ever led the Big 12 in field goal percentage in league
games for an entire conference season.

* Neal has scored in double figures in each of the last 10 games and has
led OU in scoring in each of the last four.

* Neal has made at least one 3-pointer in all 22 of his games, at least
two in 19 contests, at least four in 11 outings and at least five in six
games.

* Neal leads the Big 12 in 3-pointers per game (3.5) and in 3-point
percentage (.443). In Big 12 games, he leads the league with his 4.4
treys per outing and his .533 3-point mark.

* Neal has made at least three 3-pointers in eight of the last 10 games
(he made two treys in each of the other two games).

* Neal is averaging 19.6 points and 5.4 treys in his five starts this
season.

* Neal is averaging 4.4 treys per conference game. The Big 12 record is
3.8 per league outing by OU's Nate Erdmann in 1996-97.

Calvin Curry, man, hadn't thought of that name in a long time. That guy thought he was in range as soon as he crossed half court.

Curry had a sweet shot, but it ****ed me off every time he pulled up from 10 ft behind the arc, except for when he hit of course. :)
