LUBBOCK, Texas (Ticker) -- Michael Neal and Oklahoma aim to return to form at home against Texas Tech.
Neal and the No. 19 Sooners look to ruin another road trip for Bob Knight and his Red Raiders as they attempt to seal the first series sweep in three years in a Big 12 Conference clash on Monday.
Last season, Texas Tech came here and captured an 88-81 victory behind 32 points by Jarrius Jackson, snapping Oklahoma's 14-game winning streak at Lloyd Noble Center. The triumph also snapped the Red Raiders' six-game losing streak here.
Once again, Oklahoma (17-6, 8-4 Big 12) enters this conference matchup on a roll at home after an 83-82 victory over Iowa State on Saturday. Despite trailing by seven points with 72 seconds left, the Sooners captured their fifth straight win here behind Neal, who scored a career-high 29 points.
Neal, a junior college transfer, has been sizzling of late, scoring 73 points and shooting 21-of-37 (57 percent) from 3-point range in his last three games.
Terrell Everett, the Sooners' third-leading scorer, added 18 points and 11 assists. He has also been on a tear lately, averaging 15.3 points and 9.5 assists in his last four games.
Texas Tech (14-12, 6-6) has won its last two games, including a 70-64 decision over Nebraska on Saturday. Jackson scored a career-high 41 points in the contest, shooting 15-of-23 from the field with five 3-pointers.
The Big 12's leading scorer at 19.8 points per game, Jackson has averaged 16.0 points on 47-percent shooting (33-of-70) in six previous contests against Oklahoma.
