Do they normally call you at work to talk about you working somewhere else?

Do they normally tell you the company that they are trying to set you up with?

No and no. Although one time I had one call and said to the secretary let me talk to the best sales rep there. It was funny. I was like so your telling me you DON'T want to buy a copier from me. Then I hung up on her. heh.

my dude always calls me during the day. He calls the other estimator during the day all the time also.

He also tells me which companies want to talk to me. Most of the time I say no based on the companies that he has lined up.

I just thought it was weird.

In my experience yes and yes.

I've been called a bunch at work, and if they won't tell me who, where, and how much I tell them not to bother me.

well, on this deal the recruiter (used car salesman) told me that he sent this company mine and 5 other's resumes and I was the only one that they wanted to talk to. The company is pretty big and based out of Dallas. What kind of an increase in pay do I need to ask for?
