I bought it for my daughter and ended up putting it on my mp3 player. Kinda strange, even though I am a sorta-musician, I tend to pick out and listen to guitar parts when I listen to music. On the Plain CD I find my self constantly thinking about how well the songs are contructed or put together. I don't often think about songs that way.

There does seem to be a recurring theme of dying in the lyrics, is there a reason for that?

I can't help for I've only just started listening but I can say that they sound great live. the keyborad guy does the backup vocals and sometimes jams on the guitar.
great sound they have indeed.
