That's the point. Republicans will bend over for the government as long as we're at war, and Democrats will do the same if it's for the children.

Yes, we politicians are corrupt, spend your money like a drunken hillbilly that just won the lottery, and want more and more power for ourselves, but we're at war for the children so we know you'll understand.

Hmmm...how about "Why do you hate the American children we're at war for?"

How about an independent non-partisan movement for "We are for children in war."? Many African countries draft or kidnap children and train them as soldiers and make them fight in war. This could alleviate our problem of lack of troops, while helping the Republican war initiative. With fewer kids at home, we could then concentrate on the ones left, and they would get more benefit from the Demo's pro-child initiative. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Charles Rangel(sp?),D., NY, proposes having a draft, to try to undermine the president and throttle the war effort. Guess he could propose lowering the draft age to 10, in order to punctuate his point.

I haven't seen any Christmas trees or Santa Claus decorations in weeks, so the answer is obvious.

It could be just a ceasefire or truce until sometime next fall or Labor Day at the earliest.

Sad but true and the dirty little truth is that neither party gives a sh!t about kids because they don't vote and young parents don't vote regularly. But it sure makes for good sound bites.
