Texas playing very poorly and shooting about 20%...but only down 6.

Can't believe how empty GIA is.

the next time Fraschilla says something interesting might be the first.

"the key is did he get the shot off before the shot clock violation". that's a mindbender, Fran. thanks for the insight.

31-20, halftime. Ags look better than i've seen them since the Tenn game in December. nice ball movement.

Don't think we're going to win this game. Lucikly we can drop one, beat KU, and still lead the conference.

Am I the only one that's tired of hearing "Who's better? J.J. or Adam? Find out next!" every single weekend?

King Crimson

not with Gibson only taking two shots from the floor. Buckman, 0-3. .500 as a team from the stripe.

Just like football, the aggots will blow this one to Texas in the 2nd half.

King Crimson
2/19/2006, 02:41 PM
that's possible for sure.....but at GIA they may get to spend the last 7 minutes in the double bonus shooting FT's.

When they play each other, the visiting team should be in white!

Well, Gibson has been an amazing defender this year except for the OU and OSU games. But I do think Gibson needs to stay one more year.

i think Aldridge has one point this half. i saw CU run about 3 guards at Gibson last year in Boulder and absolutely shut him down. and he got pouty and sloppy with the ball.....and start mouthing off. i think he's got some 'tude problems when he gets frustrated.

I don't think you can compare this year to last. Not only was he a freshman last year, but he was also basically playing by himself.

Heh. I just thought of something.

Eddie's gonna hang 'em up this year. Suppose Sean loses his next six against Texas.

How frustrating will THAT be for him to hear "And Sean Sutton STILL hasn't beaten Texas." You know, since this win is going on Eddie's resume.

Frozen Sooner
2/19/2006, 03:22 PM
Not directed at ATH, but I've noticed a disturbing tendency for people to say "You can't compare x and y." Sure you can.

Daniel Gibson is a better player this year than last year. That's a comparison.

that's fair. i thought about adding that--since Tucker and Aldridge were out. but, i wasn't too impressed with him as a person. he talented, for sure. that was kind of freakish, high scoring game if i recall.....but CU wasn't very good last year either.

Buckman had 22 boards being ""guarded" by Andy Osborne, I remember that.

The thing that I hate most about this game is that we don't fight back when we're down much. At least we haven't since the Guardians Classic. We got punched in the mouth against Tennessee, Duke, OU, and OSU, and we got blown out every time.

Congrats on putting a little distance between yourself and Baylor in the Big 12 standings. Two games is probably too much of a hurdle for them to climb to get out of the cellar.

Anyone that says the KU loss doesn't hurt us is kidding themselves. Any loss in this conference kills your chances of a Big XII Championship. Losing to two teams that we should've handled easily in MU and NU hurts too. No point in bringing up the losses anymore. We still have a chance to get a pretty decent seed. We just have to start playing a little defense

oumartin
2/19/2006, 07:10 PM
oh, the selection committee will bring up those losses on Selection sunday and how OU can blow a double digit lead against anyone.

Here is the thread I was referring to. I apologize, I did misrepresent what Jay said. Please look at Jay's post on page 2 at 3:56, because I don't know how to link to a post.

He was absolutely right in what he said. If we won 7 of the last 8, indeed the KU game wouldn't matter. Rather than edit my original post, I'll apologize for misrepresenting Jay.

(Jay, you're still a sunshine pumper, though). Insert smiley face thing here.
