That haven't said who is the winner yet. It was sold in West Lincoln, I doubt any NU coaches would have been out that way.

A guy named Warren Buffet, perhaps you've heard of him.

After a few years in Washington, I thought it would be Dr. Tom.;)

Yeah, great singer. I didn't know he lived in Nebraska though.

The radio just said a ticket was sold in OK with 5 winning numbers but not the powerball number = $200K more or less.

The news tonight said he'd get about 120 million in the cash payout after taxes etc. Not shabby, but only about 1/3 of the 365 million jackpot. I thought it would be more like 40-50%.

I'm guessing when you take the cash payout vs. the annuity thing it reduces the overall total.

Cash payouts usually are 55% of the total which would be paid over the years.
Then they have to hold out 30% of that for taxes.

I could probably still get by on $120 mil.

30% for taxes is crazy.

I'm guessin' you'd still have to pay taxes on any interest you earned?

350 Million puts you in a tax bracket a bit above your normal 20% level.
ahh, the price you have to pay to be rich.

I believe they will, yes. One of them said he had been retired for four days now.

I would bet that plant will close in the near future anyway, as it has been sold to Smithfield, how has a much larger operation down the road in Crete, NE already.
