while in Minneapolis two years ago with the OU Wind Symphony, we were getting ready to leave the hotel one morning to head to a performance, so everyone's supposed to come down to the buses with their instrument and music, wearing their tux or formal black.

One of my roommates was running late, so i went back up to our room to make sure she knew what time it was. As we're dashing out the door or our room, a sax player races out of the room across the hall, shirt untucked, half buttoned, jacket in one hand, no socks, one black shoe, shouting, "where the f*** is my dress shoe? Has anybody seen my other shoe? I need my f***ing shoe!" (I dunno, Mike, maybe the carpet's holding it captive...)

I get on the bus and the other sax players are looking for him. I explain where he is about the time he comes running onto the bus, leaving a trail of profanity behind him.

CRAZY: Dude, where the f*** is my dress shoe?
other sax dude: Probably wherever you left it, Mike.
CRAZY: I don't know, I couldn't f***ing find it anywhere. It f***ing disappeared, man
other sax dude: So what are you going to do?
CRAZY: I just have to f***ing play in my f***ing black socks.
other sax dude stares at him.... since he isn't wearing any socks.: Uh, Mike..... where are your black socks?
CRAZY: I don't know, I couldn't f***ing find them.
