Please Pray for my Dad

Just hung up the phone with my mom. They are admitting my dad to the hospital. We are not sure why. As many of you know, he's a cancer patient and he had been having some discomfort so they've been doing tests all day. I'll update more later. I hope it's something minor.

Yeah what he really needs right now is rest. My dad can't hear very well, so he told me the doctor said it was a blood clot. After my mom talked to the doctor they said he may be coming down with the flu. He's in good hands. We'll know more tomorrow.

He had a good night. He's still in pain. The port they use to put his chemo drugs in has gotten infected, so they will have to take that out. Minor in the whole scheme of things unless you are a cancer patient.

They are going to remove the port tomorrow. That is causing the problems.

SBSB, I am so sorry about your dad. It is good news about the port though, easily fixed by removing it, some more antibiotics and time.
He can get another port later, if they decide he needs it.

Yeah he'll need another port but they can put it on the other side. He doesn't do chemo again until Feb 28

Yeap, put the port in one morning and do the chemo that afternoon. We used to do it all of the time.
If I ever have to get chemo, I will get a port.

They had to give him two units of blood today because his counts were off and he was slightly anemic. He's still in the hospital, which is where he needs to be right now.
