Look on any computer running a Unix-based operating system (including MacOS X) and you will find multiple directories named 'lib'. Coincidence? I think not.

also, Windows-based systems have a massive stranglehold on corporate America, and controlling interests in the the bicameral world of hardware and software.

That, and all of Window's good ideas come from the Macs :D.

my system not only has the 'lib' directory, but also a 'pub' directory

Dont' forget usr, sys, tmp, bin, mnt, etc, dev, and var.

Interesting that Windows WOULD include a "lib" if they'd just open that source up. :)

Huh? I just looked and there are only 4 on my desktop.
