if this isn't an "aye" copycat thread, my left eye has trouble as well. that must've been the side my mom dropped me on as a child.

my contact never seems to set completely correct on that side.

I'm serious. I have the night and day kind that you can leave in for a month and the right eye is fine but the left eye is good for about a half day before it starts having problem with the contact.

have you got an astigmatism?? the doc told me i have a very slight one in my left eye. the contacts i have now are pretty good, but the left one never seems to go in as easy as the right.

Could be an infection, corneal abrasion/ulcer, lots of things. I'd bet you scratched it with the contact. I'd say go see your aye doctor and let him look. The other option is to take out the contacts for a few days and see if they feel any better. Clean them or toss 'em and put in a fresh pair in a few days. You really should see your eye guy though.

You're not the boss of me. ;)

I've left them out for weeks at a time and put in new contacts afterwards and the left eye still gets angry.

Have you considered the possibility that it might be a tiny, tiny little person inside of your body that thinks that is a window and is trying to get out?

I can't wear contacts any more. The doc convinced me to try some different brand then what I was used to, but they didn't fit right at all and hurt my eyes, so even when I went back to my old brand my eyes would hurt after a couple hours.

Could this have anything with the time I dipped a broomhandle into a bucket of AIDS and then poked you in the left eye with it? Wait, was it the eye on your left or my left? I can't remember, but it was one of them.

Have the LASIK surgery. It's expensive, but it will be the best money you've ever spent. I had it a year ago and it's awesome. My eyes can get pretty dry but that the only side effect I've had. My worst day after the surgery is still better than my best day with contacts. I used my FSA to pay for it.

Gouge it out with a spoon, throw it on the carpet and **** on it, and pop it back in. Couldn't be any worse, right?

Or quit being such a cheap, scaredy cat and get Lasik.

OUDoc is my eye doctor, and he always makes me wear the buttless gown anyway. He says it helps him to see me better.
