Please learn to use Excel. Seriously.

Also, when you finally use Excel, don't put all the information in one cell.

If they have 'databases' wouldn't they be better off learning to use Access? :confused:

Our test specs have three- or four-paragraph entries in ONE CELL.

Really, not a good idea.

all I want is to mail some damn letters. As long as I can do a mail merge with the data, it's cool.

Inputting from an email=not cool

Sorry... 15 years in corporate IT makes me think 'database' = 10,000 table corporate financial system. :D

No I have about 40 lists of names from people. They emailed them to my coworker in PDF format, Word format, label format, in crayon, in braille. You get the idea.

Seriously, the list had to be generated from somewhere.

And if I had a boyfriend, you can bet your sweet valentines day asses, he'd be doing this for me. ;)
