I just registered for an account with Scottrade.com. Should I shop a little or just go with these guys? I'm not planning any real sophisticated stuff, just to dabble in a few individual stocks to start. I expect I will be moving some mutual funds in the coming months out of my state sponsored account.

Advice?

Sounds adequate to me. Good price. I'm with optionsxpress because I do mostly options.

I bet they are OK. I use Ameritrade and have always been satisfied. The trades cost a little more than Scottrade at $10.99. But $2 is not enough for me to switch as I'm not a heavy trader anyway.
