suc will kill them. Callihan and Pederson have alot of balls playing La Tech, Nicholls and Troy. I guess Maine was busy this year.

I know we play some wimps too. Just trying to put something on the FB board.

Just wondering where Nicholes State from --- ??? - PA - Tx - Ky ..???
(just found out --- )

http://www.colonelsports.com/football_news.html La ......!!!!

Atleast these schools will get a pretty nice paycheck - along with a good beating......:) - I think with new 12 team schedule it will take several years for major colleges to find a good 12th team that has a open date....

I'd still like to see OU play some IVY league schools --- just for the east coast press coverage and the old tradition of schools like Yale - Harvard - Colgate......New York Times - Front Sports Page Headline ----

Oklahoma 73 - Yale 6 -------- :D

That may be the only game where both bands play the same fight tune ;)

At least we ripped off a better one than "I've been working on the railroad."

I'm hoping Nebraska knocks off USC.

I always root for Big XII schools in non-conferance games.

Except for the fact that I want Ohio St. to kill Texas.

All three of those teams are better than Maine. Nicholls won their 1-AA conference. La Tech had 7 wins including handling Fresno State at Fresno, and Troy is a decent workout.

Dood, 1-AA!!!!!!????
C'mon.

Troy is only a decent workout if your team doesn't show up. La. Tech? Ok, they beat the helter skelter team that is Fresno. They are good one week and bad the next.
I'll give you La tech, there's no shame in scheduling some cupcakes when you're going to play the condoms in s. central

I'll bet they really hate it that they have to play Big XII teams.

OU has now played six consecutive seasons without playing a 1-AA team.

Nicholls is a better 1-AA team than Maine. That was my point. The other two teams are better than Maine as well, which was my point. In 2007, NU has no 1-AA teams scheduled.

this is good with a schedule like that they'll keep Callahan and in two years we will spank them again.

if they go six and six does the 1AA win count towards bowl eligability?

I'd like to see Nebbish win out and visit the BIG 12 title game, and get hammered by OU, personally... Becasue that means they beat Texass and USC in the same season. Seeing as the BCS will kiss USC *** even if they are barely bowl eligible, the ranking side of my theory helps us into bigger games, maybe even an MNC, if we survive that far.

Besides, who wouldn't like to see Slash lose it after dropping another loss to Bob Stoops and company?

I like how the NU schedules always have the "Big 12 Championship" game on them. It never hurts to dream.

Except when you suck, a lot, and don't go to the Big 12 Championship game anymore. That kinda hurts, probably.

You can count 1 1-AA win a year now that a perpetual 12 game schedule has been adopted.

That's just how atheltic schedules are done in Nebraska. Pretty ever schedule for every school on every level lists out all the tournament dates or whatnot to represent how far the team would go if they won it all. The list the NCAA tournament for the Basketball team, and we all know that doesn't occur often.

Don't forget, it's not that hard to win in the north nowadays... They all are the suck.

Troy beat Mizzou a couple of years ago, NU has had some issues doing that lately

can't fault them too much for the 1-AA team, going to SC doesn't really seem like a picnic, even without Leinart, White and Bush et, al.

The non-conference games don't count toward you getting into the Big 12 Championship game. So their record in conference would be 6-2 which would probably get them into the championship game.

I would get a nice little chuckle if Neb nutted up and beat UT at home.

We darn near did it in 2002 with the 7-7 team. Solich went for the win instead of overtime, and Lord threw a pick in the endzone at the end of the game. I think Texas will be very beatable in road games next year, and hopefully y'all soften them up in the RRS.

I think this is a very real possibility. And oh, the woe in Austin when the sea of red consumes their beloved whorns. :D
