View Full Version : Who Would You Put in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

A lot of greats have been passed over for a long time now.

If you could put ONE person or group in - who would you nominate and why?

My choice is controversial to say the least. >>>>>>>>>>

TED NUGENT.

He will never get in due to his right wing views but he was the #1 concert draw in the world for 3 years in a row in the late 70's.
It was the height of Arena Rock and no one put on a better show.
He had a lot of good songs and after 40 years is still rockin today.
He is always left off of great guitarist lists it seems and I think that's just wrong.

Nugent is like Switzer. Eventually, they'll have to let him in.

Kanye West.

If he's good enough to be in the Bible, certainly he should be in the Hall.

Seeing Ted, Ice, and Kanye perform together would be special.

What about his Frank Zappa days?
Did you know when Frank auditioned Vai - he told him to come back after he finished high school??

Seriously, if Rush doesn't get in, the place should be burned to the ground.

I'm thinking it will be cool when the original KISS gets inducted.
They'll be like 80 in their makeup and what not.
Gene won't be able to keep his tongue in.

The Cars - by virtue of their first two albums alone - If Blondie and the Pretenders are in, they should be
The Smiths
Echo and The Bunnymen

I agree that Rush should be in and I'm not that big of a fan of theirs

Radiohead - I'm not the biggest fan of them, but they are influential.

The Pixies - Why they are not in is a mystery to me.

The Nuge - He gets in, it will take a while.

They are available just this year, as they have a 25 year rule for performers.

Have to agree with Rush 100%.

Personally, I would have to give the nod to Motörhead on the grounds that they influenced so many bands that went on to become successful. Black Sabbath invented Heavy Metal, Motörhead invented speed metal and took it to another level.

I didn't know that. I guess that rules out my other nomination of Pearl Jam.
