I remember in '85 we almost won both NC's. We beat Penn State in OB but lost BB NC to Kansas. That was when Waymon Tisdale was at OU and I really thought he would make the difference.

And Waymon wasn't on that team.

Thanks for the correction - guess it's been too long to go by memory alone.

Better research next time.

That is impressive though that the top two schools come from the Big XII South. I am impressed that we push each other in to being the two best programs in the country. I just can't wait until next January when that ranking flips!

In the '88 OB we played Miami for the National Championship in football. Few months later we played Kansas in KCMO for the National Championship in Basketball.

It really isn't Texas loving...if we would have won another championship in the last 5 years, we would be at the top of the list.

Why in the hell is Connecticut even on that list?

I am reasonable. Hear me roar. ;)

This is totally unacceptable behavior on here. Obviously Mack whined his way into being ranked higher than OU when he originally heard about the article coming out.

AGREED. Major basketball bias here because their football program is for sh!t.

True, true. Thank you, AlbqSooner. Now I have images of Mike Irvin AND Danny Manning dancing in my head. Back at ya.
