Here we go,
C-hawks first play is a pass

SoonerBorn68

Go Hawks.

This is from an indifferent fan. My Broncos lost so...

(and besides Seattle used to by AFC West)

sooneron

Steelers here. I'm old school, it's how I roll.

****ty BK ad there.

Cam
2/5/2006, 06:36 PM
Don't really like either team, but I'm rooting for the Seahawks.

I'm a Cowboys fan, therefore, I can't stand the Steelers.

Cam
2/5/2006, 06:38 PM
Early field position goes to the Seahawks. Looks like they don't think that Rothlesberger(sp) can beat them with his arm.

Cam
2/5/2006, 06:40 PM
Magic fridge wasn't bad. Looks like something my stoner buddies would do.

sooneron
2/5/2006, 06:40 PM
Terrible ads thus far. What a waste of Jim Gaffigan, sierra mist.

sooneron
2/5/2006, 06:43 PM
Hasselbeck seems a little jittery, of course, I've barely seen him play all year.

Tiptonsooner
2/5/2006, 06:43 PM
That aTm lawsuit must be taking it's toll on the Seahawks....................

sooneron
2/5/2006, 06:45 PM
THAT should have been a pick.

Cam
2/5/2006, 06:51 PM
Nice run back. See if TH can do anything with it.

Cam
2/5/2006, 06:53 PM
Maybe I'm not cool enough, but I thought P Diddy stopped being cool a couple of years ago?

Cam
2/5/2006, 06:56 PM
That was a pretty ticky tack push off.

sooneron
2/5/2006, 07:00 PM
You had to figure that Seattle would score first the way that the field position was going.
And yes, p diddy is not kewl

Bud light and Fed ex are leading the ads.

sooneron
2/5/2006, 07:04 PM
Pitt = flat

They've got the "just happy to be here" look to them so far. They're getting beat in each phase of the game so far.

Why wouldn't Cowher throw the flag? It's not like he needs all the TO's in the first half.

Cam

Great call on the end around.

2/5/2006, 07:20 PM

bad pass

Cam

Seattle gets the first pick of the game.

Cam
2/5/2006, 07:24 PM
Pitt's just not playing the way that got them to there.

Some of that can be attributed to Seattle's level of play, but not all.

Cam
2/5/2006, 07:28 PM
Michelob commercial was pretty good. Wedding Crasheresque.

I wish the refs would call the plays as they see them.

The "push off" TD by Jackson - the ref didn't reach for his flag until the Steeler defender started to cry.

The Ben TD - the ref comes running in ready to mark the ball (ala Tech), then throws his hands up for a TD.

OUthunder

The Ameriquest commercial was funny.

Well, maybe it's because I'm only 32 but these guys are LAME. I'd rather see a nipple. Seriously, I think this game will pick up in the second half. I'd rather it be close and boring than 35-3 at halftime.

jk the sooner fan
2/5/2006, 08:17 PM
with the doctors? yeah that was a good one

i agree, the push off PI call was really weak.....should have been a TD

and what the hell were the replay officials looking at on that Big Ben TD? the ball WAS CLEARLY NOT over the line....he had to pull it from his gut on the 2 yard line to get it across

i just dont get how they miss that, it was obvious to the rest of the world

Cam
2/5/2006, 08:18 PM
I must have missed the crime deterrant phone.

The streaker was pretty damn funny as well as the fed-ex caveman.

Other wise, the commercials were just ok. Seemed to be quite a bit more ABC and affiliate company commercials than in past years.

I must have missed the crime deterrant phone.

two guys in the locker room comparing cell phones, the one says his has a "crime deterrant"

he turns his back to the other guy and says "try and steal my wallet"

the guy makes just a slight move towards him, and the crime deterrant guy turns around and throws the phone at the other guys head, knocks him out

Whatever happened to the "alternative half-time shows" they used to have? Like the Beavis and Butt-head one where they had the little clock in the corner of the screen? I miss those.

Stones did put on a decent show, so I"m appeased, but still, it was fun when all the other channels had special halftime programming instead of just the regular shows.

That should've been a catch.

Some players choose not to name their college.

I was wondering if that was the case. Why would they not name their Alma Mater? Did they all go to OSU???

The refs have helped them enough. It just seems like it's too much for them to overcome. It's one thing having to battle an opponent on the field, but when the objectivity from the refs is not there, you might as well chalk it up in the "L" column.

Spray
2/5/2006, 10:15 PM
I think he got lost in the shuffle. Holmgren's a classy guy- probably just decided to let Cowher have his moment.

Of course he may have gone straight to the Commish's office, if he feels the officiating was as bad as many thought here.

I'll be interested to hear the postgame analysis about the officials- did you think it was THAT bad? I admit, I'm biased.

While I would agree there was some **** poor calls by officials, and that play by Ben reeked of Titans/Rams 2000, poor clock management and giving up on the run by Holmgren also led to the Hawks demise.

Where the F was Shaun Alexander?? the Pitt D was not that impressive until late in the 3rd quarter.....at least not to me.

White House Boy
2/5/2006, 11:08 PM
Where the F was Shaun Alexander?? the Pitt D was not that impressive until late in the 3rd quarter.....at least not to me.

He had 20 carries for 95 yards... most of that through the 3rd quarter. If the phantom hold call would not have been called, Seatle would've had the ball on the 1-2 yard line. Shaun would've punched it in for a TD to go up 17-14.

From then on, Seatle would not have been playing catch-up ball, and Shaun most likely would've gotten 5-10 more carries in the 4th quarter in a effort to burn the clock.

But hey, to the victor goes the spoils.

The refs got the spoils, I guess. ;)

bluedogok
2/5/2006, 11:08 PM
For as well as the Seahawks played at times, they did have some major brain farts at times but when they did have a signicant play, it seemed to be negated by a penalty.
