Heskett made a great play against Arkansas and Joe Johnson. they had us beat in the final minute in Norman.....and Heskett gets this squirrelly rebound on the baseline off some clanker we throw up, on the southwest baseline and goes up and sinks this funny looking turnaround J from about 10-15 feet.
Arkie throws the ball away a couple times, we tie it up. and blow them out in OT. But, if Heskett doesn't make that play. we lose by 6-8.

aaron mcghee could hold his own three point shot, he was 22 - 45 .489% in the 2000-2001 season not bad for a big man

Eric martin was pretty good
Ernie Abercrombie 6-12 50%, but 2-2 100% in 1996. [chris farley]Remember that fall way 3 at the buzzer he hit in 95 against Kansas? That was awesome![/chris farley]

Alex Spaulding...oh wait, this isn't the only showed up for one game contest (although we wouldn't have been in the Sweet 16 if it weren't for his first half against Zona, so maybe it was worth it).

Who else is left? Corey Brewer? Ryan Minor? Nolan Johnson? Michael Johnson? Quannas White? Blake Johnston? John Ontjes? I think that about covers the history of the guard position under Kelvin Sampson

FWIW, the all time leader in 3 pt. fg% (among those with at least 100 shots) at OU is Quannas White (81-186 for a 43.5% clip)

Calvin Curry
Eduardo Najera shot 34% his junior year from beyond the arc. Not that he should win, he was just my favorite player :).

First of all, neal would beat down heskett in a three pt contest...other than that, jr raymond was a thug, kelly newton was a thug, and spaulding was a stud in that tourney

yo yo gave us some quality minutes in the post. ticky tack foul. probably a payback call.
just on the 3 topic, i used to love the look on Kelvin's face when Daryan Selvy would put it up from beyond the arc. Coach would always refer to him as "Selvy".
