had raw chicken in it. The outside was cooked, so I assumed it was cooked through and through. So, I started slinging salad into my mouth with chunks of chicken. I go to cut into one of the other bigger chunks, and it's raw. I ate some raw chicken! Good god!

When will the stomach pains start?

Several years ago my wife was served a raw chicken sandwich at sonic. I don't eat there anymore.

Call the Health Department and report them.

What are the symptoms of salmonellosis?

According to CDC, most people experience diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 8 to 72 hours after the contaminated food was eaten. Additional symptoms may be chills, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Symptoms may last up to 7 days. Many people ill with salmonellosis recover without treatment and may never see a doctor. However, Salmonella infections can be life-threatening especially for the very young, the elderly, and for persons with impaired immune systems.

Good luck. Hopefully you won't get sick.

Yikes! Was all of it raw or just the big chunk you cut into? Is it possible that the pieces you ate were cooked?

Probably you'll be fine even if you ate it raw but I'd be ****ed.

My grandson got some raw chicken in his salad as well. It makes you wonder if they have salmonella.

If you do get sick, your husband should wait on you hand and foot.

always something to wary of with frozen raw "battered" meats (i'm sure the popcorn chicken comes out of a bag from the freezer). looks done on the outside.....especially with small pieces the surface area will quickly fry but the inside....hmmm, not so much.

i know it's kind of a clichee, but frozen machine cut chicken breast/boneless parts really are sort of disgusting. i had a job where i had to clean the fat and butterly chicken breasts for scallopini or stuffed breasts for about an hour everyday. it's pretty unpleasant. i don't eat chicken a lot when i go out.

no doubt. when I worked at O'Connell's I'd have to cut up the raw chicken to make chicken strips and bites. that's nasty when your arms are sticky from chicken juice.

Watch out. Sonic's salads are worse for you than a Quarter Pounder.

You ever see that Simpsons episode where Homer eats the chili made with the Guatemalan peppers?

It's going to be a lot like that.

This has to be the most poorly written photo caption I've ever seen. I wonder where it originated. My 10-year-old daughter could do a much better job than that.

Stop it you people. There's nothing worse than raw chicken stories. Not even picasso's fine dining bathroom tales.

1. that's not a happy meal
2. mcdonald's doesn't batter their chicken mcnuggets that way
3. there's no way chicken mcnuggets would have any whole chicken parts in them
