Anyone got this week's issue of Sports Illustrated? There's a pretty good article on the Paris twins and how they have helped rejuvenate the Sooner women's program. Two intriguing things after reading the article. First, they printed a quote from Krista Sanchez in talking about the Paris sisters' impact. Now, we all know that Sanchez is drop-dead gorgeous, but she would not be one of the first ones to talk to when doing an article on the OU women. I would have talked to my girl Leah Rush, or Chelsi or maybe Britney Brown before I would have talked to Krista.
The other non-Paris player they talked to, Higgy, revealed an interesting nugget of information. According to Higgy, Courtney likes to "sing country music at the top of her lungs every day when we're in the dressing room." Now that's the kind of journalism I like to read about.:D
Coach Coale was also interviewed and she said that CP had a chance to be one of the dominant players in women's CBK history, joining the likes of Cheryl Miller, Chamique Holdsclaw and Diana Taurasi. That's pretty high praise.
I also liked the headline of "Double-Double Trouble."

p.s.: They also ran a Winter Olympics preview in the mag and there's some pretty good shots of female ice dancers and of Sasha Cohen (the figure skater). Let's just say that the SI Swimsuit Issue came earlier than expected this year.:D
