the first 4 years of the Big 12 we were 13-19, the last 6 we're 42-6 (if you count this year's game in lubbock as a loss)...

We finally broke the south-north streak this year.

Brasky7
2/2/2006, 05:33 PM
if we had won the game in lubbock (i know i know)...

we would be tied w/ Nebraska, both w/ 56-24 conference records and we'd be 3-3 against them in league play...

but i'd much rather have our HC, AD and momentum as opposed to the men of corn...

Brasky7
2/2/2006, 05:35 PM
i'm not gonna look it up, at least not right now, i'm too tired and too nauseous (sp*)...

but i'd be curious to see what the South's record is versus the North...

it's obvious Baylor is gonna bring us down, but i'd like to see that...

AustinTXHorn
2/2/2006, 05:54 PM
South is 96-84 against the North overall not including championship games.

Texas: 25-5
Oklahoma: 20-10
Texas A&M: 18-12
Texas Tech: 16-14
Oklahoma State: 12-18
Baylor: 5-25

Iowa State?

Colorado?

Also, OU is the only team to go undefeated in Big Twelve regular season play 3x's (Nebraska did it twice).

Our first conference win, amazingly enough, was under Steele against Kansas.

GuyMo won the first conference game he coached at Baylor against Colorado. The following year we beat Texas A&M.

And this past season we beat Iowa State in our first road win and OSU. With unfortunately close overtime losses against aTm and OU which would have brought our season conference wins to 4 with enough wins to take us to a bowl. =)

Random and probably out of place, but would Kinne start from day one if you guys landed him?

wow, after the 2003 season we were tied with nebraska for the most conference wins. I guess 2 losing seasons will do that.

If that's what it took to get him here then I would, but I somewhat doubt GuyMo will. He is recruiting for the long term. Since we hired a new OC and are changing our offensive system; I can't see GuyMo using Kinne immediately during the transition phase. I'd hold him back until the new system is in place and things really start gelling.

I'm 90% positive that Bell will be our starting QB next year unless Syz can make a move for it. But the team right now works better with Bell at the helm than anyone else, and like I said if we get Kinne I can't see essentially wasting him during this transition phase of our offense.

And hopefully we can stick a fork in Parks once and for all.

Parks is so awesome that he doesn't even need a chinstrap.
