Ooops, my bad, I was thinking over 60 yard runs for touchdowns...........

I'm always amazed at 50+ yard runs that aren't for TDs. AD has spoiled us all...

That game is a clinic on great defense. Outside of Penn States first drive which went for a TD, the Sooners defense was FANTASTIC. Penn State, for their part, also played very well against Holliway and the Sooners offense. Carr had a good day rushing for around 150 yards and a TD, but otherwise, outside of the BIG play to Keith, Penn St dominated OU's offense. Shane Conlan was great in that game. Still, OU did enough to win and claim #6.

For those of you that don't remember, Penn St. for some ungodly reason blitzed on 3rd and 24.

Their safety also hobbled off the field on the play before...great call to exploit a new weakness.

Beano, why'd you admit that?

Yes, thank goodness for Tennessee. This is yet another reason is was great to play all the important games on the same day.

Also, didn't one of our DBs have 3 picks in that game? That would mean, come to think of it, that we probably picked off 50 percent of the passes PSU threw . . .

Another great TD in Sooner History came on Third and something like 20 - Josh's pass to Woolfolk in the first quarter of The Mauling at the Midway, Part One. The first of many TDs that day, which would prove to the day that OU showed it was back in a big, big way.
