Pieces Hit

My alarm clock combo is fairly ingenous, I think.
I have 2 cheapo battery-powered travel clocks bound side-by-side with electrical tape.
They have the "snooze" option and I never worry about outages, clock failure, or oversleeping.
I just set one 2 minutes earlier than the other and presto!
And they have a friendly sounding - quick "beep beep beep beep" as well.
My wife, on the other hand, has a funkified clock radio that first goes off with what I can only compare to a constipated garbage truck backing up.
"URRRR URRRR URRRR URRRR!"
And then after she hits snooze for the first time - she has it set on Mexican radio.
She says it's irritating and you can't sleep thru it.
So then she just hits the snooze alarm forever.
And it seems like this one certain song has been on the Mexican radio charts forever.
It's real dramatic and sounds like the theme song for a Latin daytime soap opera.
And if that weren't annoying enough - she sets her clock AND the one in the kitchen 10 minutes fast.
She says it's to trick her mind that she's running late so she will hurry.
I asked if it weren't just possible to look at the actual time to gauge her preparation?
She said it doesn't work for her.
And so every morning I think I'm running late until I remember the clocks are wrong.
